EUTI Training of Trainers

CEP and the Peace Operations Training Centre (POTC), under the auspices of the European Union Training Initiative (EUTI) will be organising Training of Trainers (ToT): Communication & Conduct.

The course is intended for trainers, instructors and facilitators who want to strengthen their communication and facilitation skills in national and international training environments.

EUTI Partner and Steering Group meeting

📅 10 September📍Brussels, Belgium

Fifteen EUTI consortium members, representatives of the leading European players in civilian crisis management and training, are convening in Brussels for the partner and steering group meeting. They will be joined by representatives from the European Commission, EEAS, and ESDC to discuss Policy and political developments in the CSDP theatre, and to align on future priorities and activities.

International Humanitarian and Criminal Law Training

📅 16–17 September📍Jable Castle, Slovenia

Peace Operations Training Centre (POTC), in cooperation with the Legal Department of the Slovenian Armed Forces General Staff, is organising a training on International Humanitarian and Criminal Law in the Slovenian language. Intended for legal advisers, the training provides a platform for exchanging views on current issues in international humanitarian and criminal law through expert presentations and case discussions.

Mentorship visit of Priyutivka Municipality to the Komen Municipality

📅 20 September – 3 October📍Komen, Slovenia

We are preparing for an upcoming two-week mentorship visit under the Recovery and Reconstruction in Ukraine programme.

Representatives from Priyutivka (Ukraine) will visit the municipality of Komen, where they will, together with their mentors, write project proposals, exchange good practices and share knowledge in the area of waste management and explore other topics, relevant to the development of their municipality.

Upcoming study visit within the project “Strengthening Capacities for Financial Investigations in Montenegro”

📅 28–30 September 📍Ljubljana, Maribor, Celje

The study visit will provide for the Police Directorate of Montenegro with an opportunity to see good practices from the Slovenian regional police directorates in Maribor and Celje, as well as participate in intensive workshops based on prepared scenarios.

These sessions will focus on operational procedures and the practical challenges encountered in day-to-day police investigative work. The programme will include scenarios and exercises based on anonymised cases presented by police investigators from Maribor and Celje. The project has involved a comprehensive analysis of financial investigations, relevant procedures, multi-level coordination, and cooperation between the police and prosecutors in Montenegro. It will conclude in November with a final field visit to Podgorica.

Young BSF 2026: From Understanding Rupture to Shaping the Future

📅 28–30 August 📍 Kranjska Gora & Bled

Young professionals gathered in Slovenia for the 15th edition of the Young Bled Strategic Forum, under the theme “After the Rupture: Agency and Resilience in a Fragmented World.” The programme brought together 43 participants — 24 women and 19 men — from 29 countries to discuss shared challenges.

Participants examined international change and foundations of resilience: the rule of law, democratic accountability, security, openness and international cooperation. Sessions on disinformation, emerging technologies, information integrity and responsible communication explored how institutions and citizens can navigate a complex digital environment.

Through a Living Lab for Policy Innovation, participants translated agency into practice by developing ideas related to the EU-facilitated Belgrade–Pristina Dialogue. They presented their reflections to Peter Sørensen, EU Special Representative, and their work will contribute to the Young Euro-Atlantic Resilience Strategy 2035.

By sharing knowledge and connecting with experts and decision-makers, participants demonstrated their ability to help shape the future today.

ENTER: CHANGE Forum: BiH's Visionary Voices - Leading the Change

📅 27 August – 1 September 📍Kranjska Gor & Bled

In cooperation with Municipality of Celje and Municipality of Kočevje we organized visits of two groups of children from Ukraine. Kočevje hosted 44 children from their partner municipality, Bucha and Celje hosted another group of 20 children, whose lives have been profoundly affected by the war. With these visits, we wanted to provide the children with a safe and welcoming environment, opportunities for recreation and cultural exchange, and a chance to enjoy a carefree week away from the challenges of everyday life. The children returned home safely after a memorable and relaxing week in Slovenia.
